The position paper presents social marketing initiatives of German Financial Cooperation in the area of SRHR and HIV.

The present paper presents the position taken by German development policy with regard to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and population dynamics which forms the foundation for guiding Germany’s cooperation with national and international partners. For German Government, SRHR is both, a precondition and a vehicle to reach international development goals including the MDGs.

From the PASHA project to the MoEVT’s approach to School Counselling Services and Peer Education – The extensive report of GIZ and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute describes the achievements and lessons learned of the extracurricular approach of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Tanzania to address Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and HIV and AIDS in schools which had been implemented from 2003-2012.
